Approximately 50% of organizations in the
surveys reported difficulty in recruiting
skilled board members. Only 14% found it dif-ficult
to retain them. More than 36% of organizations had more vol-unteers than two years ago. Only 12% had fewer volunteers than two years ago. However, almost 40% of the nonprofits reported that they must forego some activities because of a shortage of volunteers. |
