29% of nonprofits had a deficit in 2000; 15% of
those had deficits exceeding 15% of their rev-enues.
Yet, 60% of respondents thought that their
revenues would stay relatively even in the fol-lowing
fiscal year, 26% estimated an increase
greater than 10%, and only 5% believed rev-enues
would decline by more than 10%. The
supporting and human service organizations
were the most optimistic about revenue
prospects and the health and housing devel-opment
organizations were the most pes-simistic. |
